She Blinded me with Science

My cousin Kristen and her fiance, Aaron, met as undergrads in Ohio. Like me, she goes for the red-heads. Now finishing her second year of grad school in veterinary medicine, and Aaron working in the health care industry, they begin to plan their wedding for Summer 2010. They made a brief family visit this week from their current home-state of Michigan. These shots were taken at Cornelius Pass Roadhouse, a frequent family destination and great place to photograph.

And Baby makes Five...

Randy and Janelle are already the very proud parents of Brody and Cooper. Anyday now, however, they will be expecting their first (human) baby-boy. Janelle is a beautiful mama-to-be and an old childhood friend of mine. She is crossing her fingers for a special Mother's Day present tomorrow. Either way, she is a wonderful mom to Cooper and Brody :)

The M-word

I never was a fan of the word 'maternity'. It now reminds me of the jeans I had to wear for about 7 months and just about burned after having my daughter (yes, I kept them in the event kidlet #2 decides to show up anytime soon). A few weeks ago I had the privilege to photograph the Gabel family, who will soon be expecting their newest family member in a month or so now. These photos are now up under the 'Motherhood' tab on my main site. I will be doing another mama-to-be shoot this weekend that I'm very excited about. (M-word) shots are a great way in documenting the life story of the baby before he/she has yet to arrive! Happy Mother's Day to both pregos and non-pregos out there :)
